Our Work

I’m Ash Arnold, an editor and filmmaker from Derby, in the heart of the Midlands. Like a lot of people, I grew up loving film but never really saw a clear path into the industry — especially coming from a place where that kind of career felt miles away.

It all started with making film edits on YouTube, where I somehow found myself with over 7 million views. That passion eventually led me to film school in New York, where I honed my craft and began working on short films and features. Since then, I’ve written and directed my own projects, edited a wide range of others — from intimate shorts to full-length features — and discovered a real love for the editing process itself.

I started Shushka Productions to support filmmakers like myself — storytellers who may not always go the “proper” route but have something honest, bold, or personal to say.

At Shushka, I aim to work in a professional yet collaborative and down-to-earth way. It’s your project, your story — my job is to help shape it into the best version it can be.
